You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing </span><b>AWS and hybrid infrastructure</b><span>, with a strong emphasis on </span><b>automation, security, compliance, and mission continuity</b><span> for critical workloads. </span></p><p>This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, outcomes-driven, and comfortable collaborating across engineering, security, networking, and data teams to deliver stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure in regulated environments. </p><p></p><p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p><p>Cloud Infrastructure & Automation (AWS / IaC) </p><ul><li><p>Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS services—including <b>identity, compute, storage, backups, networking, logging, and monitoring</b>—using <b>Terraform</b> or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. </p></li><li><p>Deploy, configure, harden, and maintain infrastructure across <b>AWS and hybrid environments</b> following secure baseline standards. </p></li><li><p>Standardize reusable IaC modules, promote best practices, and improve environment consistency across dev/test/prod. </p></li></ul><p>DevOps Enablement & Operational Excellence </p><ul><li><p>Build and enhance <b>CI/CD pipelines</b> and modern DevOps workflows using tools such as <b>Git, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Docker</b>. </p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation issues to ensure <b>reliability, performance, and mission continuity</b>.</p></li><li><p>Implement operational visibility with logging/monitoring improvements and actionable dashboards (as applicable to your environment).</p></li></ul><p>Security, Compliance, and Resilience </p><ul><li><p>Apply cybersecurity best practices and support <b>zero-trust</b> and compliance-aligned infrastructure operations (e.g., <b>NIST, CIS, ISO 27000</b>).</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with security and networking teams to implement secure configurations, change controls, and audit-ready operational processes. </p></li><li><p>Support <b>business continuity</b> and <b>disaster recovery (DR)</b> requirements and operational readiness. </p></li></ul><p>Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation </p><ul><li><p>Work closely with engineering, security, networking, and application teams to support mission needs and delivery timelines. </p></li><li><p>Partner with data engineers and scientists to enable infrastructure needs for <b>data pipelines</b> and <b>machine learning workflows</b>. </p></li><li><p>Maintain high-quality engineering documentation including <b>SOPs</b>, system diagrams, and secure configuration baselines. </p></li><li><p>Summarize and present findings and recommendations—both written and verbal—to technical and non-technical stakeholders. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You Will Need:</b></p><ul><li>Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.</li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). </p></li><li><p>Minimum SIX (6) years of hands-on experience in <b>AWS</b>, cloud infrastructure, and/or enterprise IT operations. </p></li><li><p>Strong hands-on expertise with <b>Terraform</b> for AWS infrastructure automation. </p></li><li><p>Experience building and operating <b>CI/CD pipelines</b> and DevOps practices with tools such as Git, Terraform, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, Docker. </p></li><li><p>Strong scripting skills in <b>Python</b> and <b>Bash</b>. </p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, <b>zero-trust concepts</b>, and compliance frameworks such as <b>NIST, CIS, ISO 27000</b>. </p></li><li><p>Experience using <b>AI-assisted coding tools</b> (e.g., <b>GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Kiro</b>) to accelerate delivery while maintaining strict quality via testing, reviews, and security practices. </p></li><li><p>Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across Engineering, DevOps, and Architecture functions. </p></li><li><p><b>Eligibility for Public Trust</b> and ability to complete federal background screening. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What Would Be Nice To Have:</b></p><ul><li><p>AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (or equivalent). </p></li><li><p>CompTIA Security+. </p></li><li><p>Experience provisioning and implementing data pipelines for lakehouse platforms such as <b>Databricks</b> or AWS services including <b>S3, Lake Formation, Glue, and Athena</b>. </p></li><li><p>Ability to design and optimize AWS data solutions, including <b>migration pipelines, ETL workflows, and serverless architectures</b>. </p></li><li><p>Experience with monitoring and SIEM tools such as <b>CloudWatch</b> and <b>Splunk</b>. </p></li><li><p>Experience supporting enterprise <b>business continuity</b> and <b>disaster recovery (DR)</b> solutions. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>#LI-DNI </span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00.
