STAFF PRODUCT ENGINEER

What you will be doing at VGS (Responsibilities)... • Building and scaling extensions on top of our core platform which is already used by the world’s largest enterprises across the merchant, acquirer, and card issuer spaces. • Shipping features iteratively, in a way that optimizes both for the MVP, and can be scaled into a full-fledged customer offering • Setting engineering standards, shaping the team culture, and contributing to our roadmap. • Working directly with customers, vendors, and partners to understand and figure out how we can solve their business problems with creative software solutions that are reusable across our customer base. • Contributing to architecture decisions and shaping our product direction in payment tokenization, network token management, and credential orchestration. What we are looking for from you (Requirements)... • Has strong product instincts and thinks holistically about UX, API design, and system correctness. • Has experience shipping high-quality software in a fast-paced, product-led environment. • Is optimistic enough to fInd a way to solve problems and ship features - even if others think it can’t be done. • Loves working in an agentic engineering environment, and understands both the benefits and the risks of the technologies. • Doesn’t shy away from working with customers and vendors directly to solve problems, but rather revels in the opportunity to own something end to end. • Has an intuition for payments, tokenization, and credential management systems, or a strong desire and ability to learn quickly. • Cares about craft, values deep technical knowledge, and delivers great product experiences. • Thrives working independently and in small, high-ownership teams.
