SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, APPLIED AI
Jobgether
Full-timesenior
Job description
Accountabilities:
• Design and build production-grade AI agents that automate workflows across sales, marketing, and operations, including research, enrichment, and decision support tasks.
• Develop modular “AI skills” that connect to internal systems (e.g., CRM, document stores, communication tools), enabling composable and reusable workflow building blocks.
• Architect systems for composability, ensuring outputs from one AI component can reliably feed into others to create scalable end-to-end workflows.
• Own and evolve the internal AI development environment, including tooling, templates, and best practices for building with LLMs and agent frameworks.
• Enable non-technical teams to build and adapt AI-driven workflows by creating intuitive abstractions, documentation, and reusable primitives.
• Integrate AI systems with production data sources and business tools, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability at scale.
• Continuously iterate on agent performance, prompt design, and system behavior based on real-world usage and edge cases.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong exposure to backend systems, automation, or applied AI development.
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems or agents using LLM APIs, with familiarity in prompt engineering, context management, and structured outputs.
• Strong programming skills in modern languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, or similar) and experience working with APIs and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design user-facing internal tools that are adopted by non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong product instincts with a focus on usability, simplicity, and real-world impact.
• Experience working with workflow automation tools or integrating multiple SaaS systems (e.g., CRM, Slack, Google Workspace).
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, move quickly, and iterate based on feedback in a startup-like environment.
• Strong systems thinking with an emphasis on modular, composable architecture design.
Benefits:
• Competitive compensation ($250,000–$350,000 USD range)
• Fully remote work environment across the US and Canada
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance (with fully covered options)
• Flexible PTO with most team members taking 2–3 weeks annually plus holidays
• 401(k) retirement savings plan
• Paid parental leave (12 weeks for all parents)
• Home office setup support including equipment stipend (MacBook Pro, monitor, accessories)
• Learning and development budget for continuous growth
• Annual company offsite and team events
• High autonomy environment with strong ownership and impact.
