BACKEND DEVELOPER (NODE.JS)

Working as a Backend Developer (Node.js) you will: • Architect and develop a resilient Backend for Frontend (BFF) and orchestration layer using Node.js and TypeScript . • Consolidate and transform data from multiple diverse sources to serve frontend applications efficiently. • Connect, secure, and isolate various external systems to ensure overall platform stability and fault tolerance. • Implement robust caching strategies to optimize performance and handle high traffic seamlessly. • Guarantee strict API security, managing safe integrations and protecting sensitive data. • Set up comprehensive system monitoring, logging, and tracing to maintain high observability . • Collaborate closely with Frontend teams , Architects , and DevOps engineers to align technical solutions with business goals. Qualifications • Between 2 to 4 years of commercial experience building backend solutions relying on Node.js . • Strong, practical knowledge of TypeScript in live production environments. • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain REST APIs while actively applying the BFF architectural pattern. • Proficiency in modern Node frameworks such as NestJS , Express , or Fastify , heavily adhering to SOLID principles and clean code practices. • Hands-on experience connecting varied data sources, handling webhooks, and building event-driven integrations. • Solid understanding of modern authentication protocols like OAuth2 or OIDC (e.g., Keycloak) and secure session management. • Familiarity with memory stores like Redis for caching, alongside a working knowledge of relational databases ( PostgreSQL ). • Ability to build resilient applications capable of graceful degradation, proper retry mechanisms, and timeout handling. • Strict adherence to OWASP security standards, safe header management, and rigorous input validation. • Dedication to software quality through unit and integration testing (using Jest ), mocking, and API contract verification. • Daily fluency with Git , Docker , CI/CD pipelines, and functioning within an Agile framework.
