This role will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and evolving database systems that support InvoiceCloud’s SaaS platform. The ideal candidate operates as an independent contributor—capable of managing production database systems, improving performance, and collaborating with teams to design scalable and reliable data solutions. Takes Ownership <ul> <li>Owns monitoring and maintenance of database systems, ensuring uptime and system reliability</li> <li>Troubleshoots production issues, identifies root causes, and implements fixes or escalations</li> <li>Manages database alerts, errors, and system health to maintain stable operations</li> <li>Executes IT requests and production tasks with accuracy and accountability </li> </ul> Drives Efficiency <ul> <li>Optimizes database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and system improvements</li> <li>Designs and improves stored procedures, tables, and views to enhance system efficiency</li> <li>Uses tools such as Query Store and Azure SQL features to analyze and improve performance</li> <li>Maintains and automates operational processes to improve reliability and reduce manual effort </li> </ul> Innovative <ul> <li>Designs and deploys Azure-based solutions including Logic Apps, Functions, and automation workflows</li> <li>Contributes to database architecture improvements and new environment design</li> <li>Uses AI-assisted tools (e.g., query optimization, debugging support) to improve productivity</li> <li>Identifies opportunities to enhance database scalability, reliability, and performance</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field</li> <li>2+ years of experience working with database technologies</li> <li>Strong T-SQL skills and experience with stored procedures, tables, and views</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL DB</li> <li>Experience with query performance tuning and database optimization</li> <li>Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Automation)</li> <li>Experience with C# or VB.NET is a plus</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively</li> </ul> Benefits: <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance</li> <li>401(k) plan with company match</li> <li>Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, paid holidays, and summer Fridays</li> <li>Mental health resources</li> <li>Paid parental leave & backup care</li> <li>Tuition reimbursement</li> <li>Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition.
