Freelance SEO Project Manager (NL/DE) Engagement: Freelance / independent contractor Working languages: Dutch & German (fluent to native) + professional English Format: 100% remote Start date: ASAP Duration: recurring Context Netenders, a leading e-commerce agent is growing. Our brands need to grow their organic visibility internationally. As part of our expansion across the Dutch and German-speaking markets, we're looking for a freelance SEO Project Manager to lead operationally the search strategy on both regions, from diagnosis to execution, and crucially, with a sharp focus on measurable business impact. Your mission • Lead SEO projects across the NL and DE markets: technical, semantic and editorial audits. • Define and prioritize on-page, off-page and technical recommendations (indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data JSON-LD / schema.org ) by business impact, not just by volume of opportunities. • Build localized content strategy: beyond translation, a genuine cultural and linguistic adaptation of search intent specific to each market. • Integrate GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) considerations: optimizing for answer engines and generative AI (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity…). • Own ROI-driven performance tracking: connect SEO/GEO actions to concrete business outcomes (qualified traffic, conversions, revenue, pipeline), set up KPIs and attribution, and report on return on investment per market. • Build clear, decision-oriented reporting via Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio and rank-tracking tools, dashboards that tie effort to value, not vanity metrics. • Coordinate stakeholders: copywriters, translators, developers and local market leads. Profile we're looking for • Proven SEO experience (ideally 3+ years), with strong multilingual / multi-market sensitivity. • Fluent in Dutch and German; a fine-grained understanding of local search behavior is a decisive advantage. • Solid technical SEO and structured data skills. • Familiarity with GEO / generative search developments. • A results-oriented, ROI-first mindset: comfortable defining KPIs, measuring impact, and arbitrating priorities based on expected return. • Proficiency with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog (or equivalent), Looker Studio, rank tracking. • Autonomy, rigor and strong prioritization. Nice to have • Knowledge of other markets (FR, EN, IT, ES). • International e-commerce experience. • A feel for cultural SEO (the intersection of language, cognition and search behavior). Terms • Status: freelance / independent (invoices). • Day rate: €40/h • Location: fully remote. • Volume: 15-20h per week.
