Position: Senior Front End Developer
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Location: Manchester or London (Hybrid 2/3 days per week in office)
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate: £600/day
Security Clearance: BPSS (eligible for SC)
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Senior Front End Developer to join a dynamic, agile team. Your role will be pivotal in designing, developing, and enhancing high-traffic, user-focused web applications. You will collaborate with developers, designers, and analysts to contribute to impactful digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve user experiences.
• Apply best practices in web development, including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and responsive design.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain and optimise complex codebases.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and tools, integrating them into your work.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Sass.
• Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Strong knowledge of UX, usability, and user-centred design.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with Linux or MacOS environments.
• Ability to work in an agile environment, delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with client-side build tools (Grunt, Gulp).
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine).
• Familiarity with Node.js, Java, and Mustache templates.
