SENIOR BIGCOMMERCE DEVELOPER

Job Title: Senior BigCommerce Developer Job Type: Full-time Experience: 5+ years Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BigCommerce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing e-commerce solutions on the BigCommerce platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create seamless and high-performing online shopping experiences. Key Responsibilities: * Develop, customize, and maintain e-commerce websites using BigCommerce. * Implement custom themes, templates, and plugins to enhance user experience. * Work with RESTful APIs, Webhooks, and other integrations to extend BigCommerce functionality. * Optimize site performance and scalability for high traffic volumes. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth platform performance. * Collaborate with the design and product teams to deliver user-centric solutions. * Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following industry best practices. * Manage and execute platform migrations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts. * Stay up to date with the latest e-commerce trends and BigCommerce updates. Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 3+ years on BigCommerce. * Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery. * Experience with BigCommerce Stencil framework and Handlebars templating. * Knowledge of GraphQL and RESTful APIs. * Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Python. * Experience with version control systems like Git. * Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimization. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: * Experience with React.js or Vue.js for frontend development. * Familiarity with headless commerce architecture. * Experience working with third-party tools and integrations such as Klaviyo, Google Analytics, or Salesforce. * Certification in BigCommerce development is a plus.
