INVESTMENT INTERNSHIP

Wavemaker Partners is Southeast Asia's leading early-stage venture capital firm investing in enterprise and deep-tech companies. We are opening internship opportunities to join our Investment Team for a minimum of 3 months. We are looking for an intern based in Singapore. As an Investment Intern, you will support the Investment Team in a full range of investment activities including deal sourcing, research and due diligence, and portfolio support of the investments. Here's what you might do in a typical week: • Assist the investment team in identifying investment opportunities in Singapore through networking, research, and qualifying inbound leads through meeting with entrepreneurs • Support the investment team in evaluating investments and conducting due diligence (market research, competitor analysis, financial and metrics analysis, product reviews, customer/user reviews and technical diligence) • Participate in building and nurturing our Wavemaker community in Singapore (including advisors, accelerators, co-investors, LPs, service providers and founders) • Represent and promote Wavemaker externally through attending events, networking, and building relationships with key stakeholders in Singapore. • Collaborate with the Investment and People & Platform teams to support our portfolio companies • Assist the Investment team in portfolio reporting Here's what we're looking for: • You're currently studying towards a Bachelors' or Masters' degree. Fields of study could be business, engineering, social science. We're open! • You have had at least 1-2 other internships • You're intellectually curious and have a keen interest in Venture Capital and early-stage tech startups • You are thoughtful and insightful, possessing strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills • You have the ability to build trust and forge long term relationships with people • You are articulate and eloquent both in written and verbal communication • You have an open-mind and strive for continuous self-development • You are diligent and conscientious amidst a fast-paced and dynamic environment • You are diligent and conscientious amidst a fast-paced and dynamic environment
