Job Description Responsibility: Project Design Supervision (45%) • Manage, lead, and develop the Electrical and Instrumentation team. • Develop plan of work and oversee drawings as required. • Modify or establish procedures and project engineering workflow. • Perform field work: • Inspecting play conditions. • Verifying existing plant conditions. • Designing structures. • Layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources. • Develop design concepts for installation of equipment and structures. • Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible for the required quality. • Verify detailed design is in compliance with design intent and standards. • Encourage and practice teamwork. • Produce results that create value and allow the employees to reach their full potential and find fulfilment in their work. • Communicate work requirements with clarity and without rancor. Responsibility: Electrical and Instrumentation Design (45%) • Design responsibility for all electrical work. • Design guidance and review for design work by others. • Perform engineering calculations as required. • Work with applicable codes to ensure design compliance. • Stamp drawings in required states. E.g.: AL, GA, FL. Responsibility: Project Management (5%) • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients. • Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed. • Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers. • Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and services. • Develop bid packages, lead bit meetings, and evaluate bids. • Manage procurement and construction activities. • Coordinate project safety, timing, and other issues. • Lead checkout and startup activities. • Control documents generated during the course of the project. Issue documents to client for permanent storage. • Close out projects in file system. Responsibility: Business Development (5%) • Always look for ways to help clients. • Conduct affairs with integrity. • Comply with applicable laws and standards and keeping the safety of employees and customers at the top of our priority. • Create long-term value, not only for ourselves, but also for our customers. • Understand and develop customer relationships to profitably anticipate and satisfy their needs. • Look for ways to develop new clients. • Develop engineering scope and estimate and submit proposals. Requirements • Electrical Engineering Degree • 20+ years experience • Heavy industrial experience • PE License in any state (Will be required to obtain key company states) • Remote work schedule available but must reside in Alabama, Florida, or Georgia Benefits • High base salary dependent on experience • 20% profit share scheme • Paid overtime over 40hrs • Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical and dental • 401K
