About the Company
Our client is a leading Wall Street investment bank seeking experienced Counterparty Credit Risk professionals to join its Credit Risk Management team. You'll play a critical role in independently assessing hedge fund and financial institution counterparties, helping protect the firm through rigorous credit analysis and sound risk judgment.
This is a senior individual contributor role (VP title, no direct reports) designed for specialists who thrive on analytical depth, independent decision-making, and complex financial risk assessment.

What You'll Do
• Perform independent credit analysis of hedge funds and financial institution counterparties
• Review and challenge Front Office credit proposals, underwriting assumptions, and internal risk ratings
• Evaluate collateral arrangements, margin structures, haircuts, and the legal enforceability of credit agreements
• Monitor approved exposures and identify early signs of credit deterioration
• Support portfolio analysis across counterparty concentrations, sector exposures, and strategy correlations
• Contribute to portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis
• Prepare high-quality credit memoranda and risk committee materials for senior stakeholders
What We're Looking For
• 8-15 years of experience in Counterparty Credit Risk, Credit Risk Management, or Leveraged Finance within an international investment bank
• Strong expertise assessing hedge funds and financial institution counterparties
• Deep understanding of credit analysis, exposure measurement, collateral management, and stress testing
• Experience reviewing complex balance sheets and financial statements
• Proven ability to prepare formal credit memoranda and present recommendations to senior management
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working as a senior individual contributor in a highly analytical environment
Nice to Have
• Experience covering Prime Brokerage counterparties
• Knowledge of derivatives, repo, securities financing, stock loan/borrow, or futures
• Exposure to regulatory interactions (e.g. SEC)
• CFA, FRM, MBA, or similar professional qualification
