Job description
Overview:
Youll collaborate with other engineers to model complex utility and industrial power systems and perform advanced planning and operational studies. The work spans both long-term strategic planning and near-term operational decision support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct power flow, short-circuit, and dynamic stability studies
• Support feasibility and interconnection assessments for utilities and IPPs
• Evaluate critical clearing times, relay settings, and system reliability impacts
• Prepare models using software such as PSSE, PSLF, or similar
• Write proposals and technical reports; present findings to clients and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and mentoring junior engineers
Qualifications:
• BSEE and PE license required
• 10+ years of experience in transmission planning and system studies
• Strong experience with PSSE, PSLF, or equivalent tools
• Excellent technical writing and client-facing communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage technical projects
• Willing to travel occasionally (10%+)
