SOLARWINDS ENGINEER

Australian Citizens With NV1 Clearance residing in Australia only respond Remote support is allowed for this role Essential Experience • Minimum NV1 security clearance with the ability to pass additional security assessments. • 3+ years working with Microsoft technologies at scale. • 2+ years working with Solarwinds within an enterprise, including design, implementation, administration, configuration and securing the SolarWinds suite of products. • Demonstrable understanding and experience working with monitoring methodologies and protocols including SNMP, SSH and WinRM. • Excellent communication skills to explain technical information and requirements effectively to others both orally and written. • Ability to proactively identify potential issues and provide recommended solutions. • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. • Provide a high level of quality/accuracy. Desirable Experience • Operational experience working within a NOC using Solarwinds or other NMS to monitor and manage a network. • Experience or familiarity with modern monitoring methodologies related to OpenTelemetry, streaming telemetry and gRPC highly desirable. • Experience working in highly secure domains. • A working knowledge of 3rd party automation tools including VMWare vRA and Ansible. • A working knowledge of networking and troubleshooting within the Microsoft ecosystem. • A solid understanding of Microsoft SQL in the context of Solarwinds architectures. • Knowledge and experience in delivery of software defined data centres (SDDC) and software defined networking (SDN) Desirable Qualities • Able to build strong rapport with team members and genuinely care about their success. • Proven ability to work to a project schedule and achieve successful client-focused outcomes. • Strong communication abilities and able to communicate with clients autonomously. • Security-first mindset. • Positive attitude towards change, continuous improvement and incrementally helping others. • Excellent written skills in English. • Desire to continue their own learning journey.
