Job description

Project Start Date: Immediate Resource Required: #1 Resource Duration: 3 Months and Possibility of Further Extension Location: Chennai / Bengaluru - Remote so we can accept candidates from anywhere who are happy to work that time zone. Responsibilities: • Monitoring and preventative action (like maintain configuration baselines and prevent configuration drift). • Integrate, Deploy, Maintain, and Support SCCM infrastructure. • Work alongside existing team members. • Deploy the SCCM solution in order to meet the requirements of our Core Business and other Teams' needs. • Work with contacts with operational teams to share best practices and to troubleshoot and collect feedback on processes, procedures, tools, and requirements for next developments. • Integrate operationally, maintain, and Support (as 3rd level) current SCCM architecture, according to the Change management procedures. • Manage SCCM life cycle. • Act as part of the operational teams on the deployment of SCCM solutions through repetitive knowledge transfer and conference calls • Responsible for handling incidents and service requests as per agreed service levels. • Troubleshooting Windows servers, file servers, print servers, and domain controllers on Windows 2008 R2 and 2008 OS problems. Requirements: • Skills: • Ability to communicate/interact with lead engineers and architects on the customer end (ANZ region). • Ability (Hands-on) to understand, design, setup and rollout the Microsoft SCCM Platform. • Ability to administer and configure the SCCM Platform as per design. • Carry out updates to SCCM platform as and when required, utilizing patches and new builds where necessary to keep security and usability in a steady/stable state. • Ability to support multiple geographies across time zones (primarily ANZ Region) until the deployments stabilizes. • Ability to co-ordinate with business teams for required downtime of key business systems to schedule patching and upgrades utilizing the SCCM platform. • Should have strong Windows Server level admin knowledge including the server level H/W and Windows Clustering etc. • Key Technical Requirements including: • • Depth understanding of Inventory Management, Patch Management, Software Deployment, Software Metering etc. • Should be able to analyze error logs and do RCA • Should be able to provide fixes ( not workarounds ) for each error • Should be able to articulate and differentiate if a client error can be fixed by a technical fix or a process change • Should be able to participate in L3 discussions with relevant teams • Have relevant exposure to WS 2012, AD, SCO, and PowerShell • SCCM Consultant Specialization High-Level: • 7+ Years of Experience in SCCM 2012 and Above in Implementation and Administration. • Experience on SCCM Migration project (at least 2-3 projects) • Sound technical knowledge on SCCM 2007/2012 Administration • Sound technical knowledge on Win2008/2012 Server Administration • Good troubleshooting skills • Result oriented, takes ownership of the issue till resolution • Should be able to stretch for extended hours when required • Good English communication skills (both verbal and written) • Should be process-oriented and be able to adapt to process changes in the operation • Should have clarity on priority of issues/problems • Sensitive to SLAs/metrics • Ability to effectively coordinate work with less supervision • Understanding on reporting requirements and able to prepare and send reports on time • Should be a good team player • Good in time management and multitasking] Academic Educational and Certifications: • Engineering graduate or Diploma/MCA/BCA • MCSE certification is essential
