SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER

Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Remote (Global) Team: Infrastructure & DevOps Summary You'll architect and secure AWS environments at scale and Infrastructure as Code driven solution with SOC2/NIST compliant requirements. You'll work across multiple client projects, set technical standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready infrastructure. This role requires deep Terraform expertise and the ability to navigate complex, large-scale AWS architectures with security built in from day one. Requirements (Must-Haves) • Excellent English communication skills — you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams daily and need to explain complex infrastructure decisions clearly • 5+ years of proven experience working in AWS environments at scale in mid-to-large companies • Terraform mastery : best practices, security patterns, module development, organizing large projects, pipeline optimization, and DRY principles • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams — DevOps, Security, Development, Product • Proven track record collaborating across large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders • Secure networking expertise: DNS management, VPC peering, Transit Gateways, ALB configuration • Network security implementation: encryption in transit/at rest, zero-trust architecture principles, restricted access patterns • Secrets management and KMS key management strategies • AWS compliance tools: Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, GuardDuty configuration and management • Serverless optimization: cold start reduction, edge authorization lambdas, Cognito integration, Step Functions orchestration, X-Ray monitoring • Infrastructure security scanning with Checkov, OPA, or similar tools • ECS deployment and container management Requirements (Nice-to-Haves) • Efficient alerting system design that minimizes noise and maximizes signal • Datadog expertise: AWS integration, synthetic tests, logging, metrics, dashboards • Disaster recovery design: cross-account and cross-region failover strategies, backup architectures • SOC2 compliance implementation experience • Strong GitHub experience for CI/CD and automation workflows Bonus Points • AWS certifications: Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Security Specialty, or DevOps Engineer Professional • Backstage or similar developer platform experience • Platform engineering mindset — building self-serve infrastructure for development teams • BitBucket experience • Experience training and mentoring other DevOps engineers • Open source contributions or technical writing/speaking
