EMBEDDED LINUX FIELD ENGINEER FOR DEVICES/IOT

Accountabilities: • Engage with customers during presales and technical discovery phases to understand requirements and translate them into viable embedded Linux solutions. • Design, adapt, and deliver embedded Linux systems for devices and IoT environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. • Work across the Linux stack, including boot processes, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, Secure Boot, and distribution packaging. • Contribute to the development, integration, and debugging of embedded systems using technologies such as Yocto or Buildroot. • Support delivery of customer projects, acting as both a technical advisor and implementation contributor. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues across hardware and software layers. • Communicate market and customer needs back to internal engineering teams to influence product direction and improvements. • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent delivery of robust, production-grade embedded solutions. Requirements • Strong professional experience with Linux systems, ideally based on Debian or Ubuntu environments. • Solid background in embedded Linux development, including tools such as Yocto and/or Buildroot. • Experience with low-level system components such as bootloaders, BIOS/UEFI, firmware, and Secure Boot. • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, Go, or Rust. • Experience with Linux distribution packaging (e.g., deb, rpm) and system integration. • Strong debugging skills and ability to analyze complex system-level issues. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including customer-facing interactions. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under dynamic conditions. • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to continuously learn new technologies. • Professional English proficiency; additional local language skills may be beneficial depending on client interactions. • Willingness to travel internationally up to ~30% for customer meetings and industry events.
