<p><strong>Your responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Engineering</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement high-performance microservices in <strong>Java / Spring Boot</strong></li><li>Build and maintain event-driven integrations using <strong>Apache Kafka</strong></li><li>Own the data layer: schema design, query optimisation, migrations (PostgreSQL)</li><li>Work within a containerised cloud-native environment: <strong>Docker, Kubernetes, GCP</strong></li><li>Hold the bar on code quality through reviews, testing standards, and CI/CD discipline</li><li>Mentor team members and advocate for a culture of quality and continuous improvement</li></ul><p><strong>Ownership &amp; Delivery</strong></p><ul><li>Take full ownership of features end-to-end -&#xa0;from requirements to production and beyond</li><li>Work directly with business stakeholders to challenge assumptions and align on solutions</li><li>You understand your product deeply -&#xa0;the business context, the customer impact, the why behind every feature</li><li>Working across a large organisation with many teams is complex.
