MUREX TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

We are seeking an experienced Murex Technical Consultant to support and enhance complex capital markets platforms. The person in this role will focus on MXML and integration development, working on end-to-end interfaces, MxML Exchange workflows, and system integrations. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test and maintain Murex interfaces using MXML and Exchange workflows. • Implement and support inbound and outbound integrations between Murex and upstream/downstream systems. • Develop and optimise XSLT transformations and other XML-based solutions for data exchange. • Monitor data flows, workflows and interface performance; diagnose and resolve production issues including in Unix/Bash environments. • Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams. • Manage change requests and incident resolution within Murex environments, ensuring timely and controlled delivery. • Participate in system migrations, upgrades and new implementations, supporting testing and cutover activities. Qualifications • Proven hands-on experience with Murex (MX.3) in an integration or technical role. • Demonstrable expertise in MxML Exchange and interface development. • Knowledge of XML and XSLT. • Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL) for data verification and troubleshooting. • Experience with Unix / shell scripting (Bash) for operational tasks and automation. • Practical experience with end-to-end integration patterns involving upstream and downstream systems. • A solid understanding of financial products including FX, money markets, securities and derivatives. • Experience in incident handling, root-cause analysis and production support processes. • Fluent English • Desirable: experience with Murex Datamart/reporting (feeders, extractions, dynamic tables), exposure to large-scale migration or transformation programmes, and programming skills such as Python or C#.
