<p>We are seeking a Space Strategist/Workplace Data Strategist&#xa0;to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in an international, fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with global clients to translate business needs into innovative workplace solutions.</p><p>This opportunity sits as part of our growing Global Occupier Services team and is based within our office in Amsterdam with the EMEA Workplace Advisory&#xa0;team. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple countries, you will develop workplace strategies and &#xa0;strategic occupancy and space planning solutions that align with business objectives, workplace standards, and evolving client requirements.</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Delivery of strategic occupancy and space planning projects across EMEA for one of our global clients with an office portfolio of c. 200,000 sqm;</li></ul><p>Planning Support &amp; Scenario Development</p><ul><li>Assist in developing space and workplace scenarios based on business needs, growth assumptions, and utilization insights</li><li>Prepare planning options, test fits (working with designers/partners as needed), stacking and adjacency plans, and capacity models</li><li>Help evaluate feasibility for consolidations, expansions, and flexible seating strategies</li></ul><p>Occupancy &amp; Utilization Analysis</p><ul><li>Analyze occupancy and utilization data to support right-sizing and planning efforts</li><li>Use dashboards, space data, and IWMS tools to model future capacity needs</li><li>Track and organize planning inputs, assumptions, and changes</li></ul><p>Client Engagement &amp; Stakeholder Alignment</p><ul><li>Support planning sessions and workshops with meeting materials, notes, and follow-ups</li><li>Assist with stakeholder communications and presentations to summarize analysis and planning recommendations</li><li>Partner with workplace, facilities, and project management teams to gather inputs and understand business priorities</li><li>Communicate complex planning concepts and analysis in clear, executive-friendly formats</li></ul><p>Workplace Strategy Integration</p><ul><li>Apply workplace standards, planning guidelines, and design principles when preparing planning materials</li><li>Assist in planning for flexible workplace programs and future workplace pilot areas</li><li>Help escort planning decisions through change management processes,</li><li>Provide inputs to programming, project implementation partners, and change enablement activities</li></ul><p>Collaboration &amp; Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>Work cross-functionally with the Workplace Strategy team, client real estate teams, PMO, and Technology partners</li><li>Contribute to the development of planning methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices on client accounts</li><li>Support planning, governance, and standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adoption across the portfolio</li><li>Participate in planning reviews and lessons-learned discussions to support continuous improvement</li><li>Support planning, governance and policies that enhance accuracy, consistency, and adoption</li></ul><p>Planning Documentation &amp; Reporting</p><ul><li>Prepare reports, visuals, and dashboards summarizing planning outcomes and scenarios</li><li>Maintain planning files, demand logs, and scenario models to ensure accuracy and traceability</li><li>Contribute to playbooks, templates, and planning tools that improve consistency and speed to insight</li><li>Remain informed of planning assumptions, space standards, capacity metrics, and demand forecasts</li><li>Partner with IWMS and reporting teams to ensure data supports strategic planning and decision-making</li></ul> <p><strong>Key Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar workplace strategy and space planning role. International experience is a big plus.</li><li>Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret occupancy and workplace data, identify trends, and translate insights into strategic space planning recommendations.</li><li>Experience with &#xa0;AutoCAD and CAFM systems.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and the wider Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.</li><li>Client-focused, with a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience and practical workplace solutions.</li><li>A collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions and cultures in an international environment.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and globally distributed team environment.</li><li>Passion for emerging workplace trends, planning technologies, and ways of working</li><li>Willingness to grow skills in workplace strategy, scenario modeling, data storytelling, and decision-support tools</li><li>Eagerness to contribute to planning standards, methodology improvements, and knowledge-sharing over time</li></ul><p><strong>Interview Process</strong></p><p>Our recruitment process consists of three stages:</p><ol><li>First Interview – An introductory interview with the Head of EMEA Workplace Advisory and a key stakeholder. This conversation will focus on your experience, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role and team.</li><li>Second Interview – A competency-based interview with two members of the global Workplace Advisory team. This stage provides an opportunity to explore your approach to collaboration, problem-solving, and working in an international environment.</li><li>Final Interview – A case study presentation, where you will be asked to analyse a workplace planning scenario and present your recommendations.
