GAME TECH LEAD (UE5 / MULTIPLAYER SYSTEMS)

Accountabilities: • Lead the technical implementation of gameplay systems using Unreal Engine 5, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. • Architect, develop, and maintain multiplayer systems, networking solutions, and server-side gameplay infrastructure. • Establish engineering best practices, improve code quality, and support long-term technical scalability. • Optimize runtime performance across gameplay features and multiplayer environments. • Collaborate with technical artists, designers, and creative teams to build efficient production workflows. • Support cloud-based interactive experiences and scalable online platforms. • Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the overall engineering direction. • Partner with production teams and stakeholders to align technical execution with project objectives. Requirements: • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine 5 and game development technologies. • Advanced programming skills in C++ and Blueprints. • Proven experience designing, developing, and launching multiplayer gameplay systems. • Strong understanding of networking concepts, dedicated servers, and online game infrastructure. • Experience with gameplay architecture, system design, and performance optimization. • Experience integrating game clients with backend services such as identity, inventory, commerce, matchmaking, social systems, or similar platforms. • Strong technical leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and guiding development teams. • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, art, and production disciplines. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. • Experience with cloud-streamed experiences, persistent online worlds, live systems, or immersive virtual platforms is considered a plus. • Background in technical prototyping or platform-level engineering is a differentiator.
