Accountabilities:
As Senior Design Manager - Corporate Real Estate, you will oversee the complete design process for workplace projects, ensuring solutions meet business objectives, design standards, and client expectations. You will provide technical expertise, coordinate with internal and external partners, and support the continuous improvement of design practices and deliverables.
• Lead the development of comprehensive design packages, including space plans, furniture layouts, power and data plans, ceiling plans, finish selections, specifications, and visualization materials.
• Apply workplace strategy principles to create functional, efficient, and aesthetically aligned interior environments.
• Develop and refine design concepts through test fits, client feedback, and iterative planning processes.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, life-safety standards, accessibility requirements, and corporate guidelines.
• Stay current with AI-enabled design, visualization, documentation, and workflow tools, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Support responsible adoption of new technologies that enhance design processes and client communication.
• Serve as a key design contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating approvals throughout project phases.
• Present design concepts, recommendations, and updates to support effective decision-making.
• Collaborate with project managers, workplace strategy teams, architects, contractors, furniture partners, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate furniture selections, specifications, installation planning, and vendor communication.
• Support art package coordination, ensuring selections align with branding and overall design intent.
• Create and maintain design templates, standards, processes, and visual communication tools.
• Review drawings, test fits, and design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines, budgets, and delivery standards.
• Identify project risks, solve design challenges, and implement effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
You are an experienced workplace design professional with strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You combine creativity with operational discipline and can collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in workplace design, commercial interiors, architecture, or related corporate environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple design projects from concept through completion.
• Strong knowledge of interior planning, design development, documentation, and project execution.
• Proficiency with design software including AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience creating space plans, furniture layouts, finish selections, renderings, and technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret and apply workplace standards, branding requirements, and business objectives into practical design solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors, furniture dealers, and project teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to independently drive projects forward with limited oversight.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a client-focused mindset.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams and external partners.
• Experience in financial services or another corporate environment is preferred.
• Architectural, Interior Design, or related professional certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%).
