Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Engineer to join our global team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in operating and maintaining our global Content Delivery Network (CDN). This position involves participation in on-call rotations, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and responding promptly to operational issues.  Key Responsibilities:  <ul><li>Operate, maintain, and monitor the global CDN infrastructure. </li></ul><ul><li>Respond to incidents, diagnose issues promptly, and participate in on-call rotations.  </li></ul><ul><li>Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.  </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate closely with network and infrastructure teams for maintenance and enhancements.  </li></ul><ul><li>Manage and contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) repositories using Git.  </li></ul><ul><li>Continuously improve monitoring and alerting systems.  </li></ul> <ul><li>Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.  </li><li>Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS).  </li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in Git and Bash scripting.  </li></ul><ul><li>Experience in operational on-call duties.  </li></ul>Nice to Have: <ul><li>Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack).  </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).  </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of databases like ClickHouse or PostgreSQL.  </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of BGP and related networking protocols.  </li></ul><ul><li>Programming ability in Go, Python, or Rust.  </li></ul>Ideal Candidate Traits:  <ul><li>Proactive and self-motivated.  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. </li></ul> BenefitsAt Gcore, we want you to do your best work and enjoy the journey.
