Job description

Accountabilities: In this role, you will oversee corporate actions processing and clearing operations, ensuring accurate execution, reconciliation, and continuous improvement of operational workflows. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing and processing corporate actions such as dividends, interest payments, reorganizations, mergers, reverse splits, maturities, and redemptions across equities, fixed income, and options. • Reviewing and validating corporate action event details before posting to customer accounts to ensure accuracy and reduce operational risk. • Collaborating daily with external vendors, custodians, and market infrastructure providers to confirm event details and allocations. • Performing daily reconciliation of corporate actions, suspense accounts, and related operational balances to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Investigating discrepancies, resolving breaks, and monitoring open items to prevent aging issues. • Acting as a subject matter expert for corporate actions, providing guidance to internal teams and external partners. • Managing corporate action-related inquiries and supporting voluntary corporate action requests. • Improving operational procedures and documentation as new processes, asset classes, and requirements are introduced. • Supporting automation initiatives by collaborating with technical teams to improve clearing workflows. • Expanding knowledge across other areas of brokerage operations to provide broader operational support when needed. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings strong experience in corporate actions, securities operations, and financial services processes, combined with attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key qualifications include: • 3+ years of experience in Corporate Actions operations. • Direct experience with DTC Corporate Action Web and familiarity with industry processing platforms. • Knowledge of ICE corporate action data, BNY processing, and OCC options corporate action processes. • Understanding of brokerage clearing operations and U.S. securities back-office processes. • Knowledge of financial industry regulations, compliance requirements, and operational standards. • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Basic knowledge of SQL, Metabase, or other database query tools. • Ability to work with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools for documentation and reporting. • Adaptability to evolving financial regulations and changing business requirements. • FINRA SIE certification or willingness to obtain it within the first 180 days. • Strong alignment with values focused on curiosity, empathy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Nice-to-have qualifications: • Associate degree in business, finance, or a related field combined with additional experience in corporate actions, reconciliation, accounting, banking, or financial services. • Series 7 certification. • Experience processing corporate actions through DTCC portals. • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack.
