We have an immediate opportunity for a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to join our already successful and fast-growing business development team. In the past 12 months, our team has evaluated 100+ opportunities and successfully closed over 25 deals. Reporting to the Senior Analyst, M&A Analytics, you’ll partner with the Vice President of Finance & M&A and the broader business development team — including the Chief Development Officer, SVP of Business Development, and Regional Directors — as an integral contributor to the company’s growth.To be successful in this position you must be a self-starter — energetic, team-oriented, and ready to jump in and get the job done! You should have an innate desire to analyze, value and execute M&A opportunities that you’re presented with. Animal Health or multi-site healthcare experience and finance / accounting industry background is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable with highly strategic, complex, and long analysis cycles and able to explain complex financial matters in a way that the average person can understand. In this role, you will:<ul><li>Analyze financial information from practice owners, participate in internal investment committee discussions, and address follow-up questions and concerns.</li><li>Update financial models to assess the profitability of target hospitals.</li><li>Assist in drafting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for target practices.</li><li>Prepare deal summaries and presentations for the investment committee, executive team, and prospective sellers.</li></ul>Support due diligence by reviewing financial statements and bank records, reconciling reported results to source data, and flagging risks and adjustments for the deal team. <ul><li>2+ years accounting / corporate finance experience, preferably in a multi-unit healthcare environment. Areas of analysis focus should include historical key metrics such as profitability, revenue mix, labor ratios, client mix, location demographics and other business insights.</li><li>A BS/BA from a 4-year accredited institution is required. </li><li>Experience preparing financial & market analysis of specific geographic areas to determine deal viability and growth opportunity.</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required with a focus on manipulating large data sets.</li><li>Comfortable leveraging AI tools to support financial analysis and presentation development, with curiosity to explore new applications as our team’s AI capabilities expand.</li><li>Exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills.</li><li>Efficient worker capable of working in a remote environment while remaining highly collaborative with the team.</li><li>Experience performing detailed forecasts of acquisitions.</li><li>Results driven, high work integrity and positive, can-do attitude and professional outlook.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li></ul>This role is not eligible for remote work outside the US.  WE ARE A DRUG-FREE, SMOKE-FREE, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.Alliance Animal Health and it’s affiliate hospitals is an equal opportunity employer.
