Job description

Accountabilities: As a Lead Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing performance testing strategies to ensure application stability and scalability. You will work across the complete software development lifecycle, partnering with technical teams to identify risks, resolve performance challenges, and improve system reliability. • Analyze business scenarios and define non-functional requirements to establish effective performance testing strategies. • Design performance test plans, execution approaches, test scenarios, and validation frameworks. • Perform performance testing across user interfaces, APIs, SQL databases, and NoSQL databases. • Execute load, scalability, stress, endurance, and failover testing to validate system behavior under different conditions. • Monitor and analyze performance results, interpret metrics, and prepare detailed reports with improvement recommendations. • Identify root causes of performance issues across applications, middleware, infrastructure, and databases. • Recommend solutions to optimize application performance, scalability, and resource utilization. • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality evaluation. • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure applications meet performance expectations before production releases. • Apply knowledge of system architecture, development lifecycle practices, and performance engineering methodologies. • Support performance optimization for cloud-based and distributed environments. Requirements: The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in performance engineering, automation, and enterprise software testing, along with strong technical knowledge of modern application architectures and development practices. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • 7+ years of experience in performance engineering, performance testing, or enterprise-level tools development. • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and failover testing. • Proven experience defining performance strategies and executing non-functional testing programs. • Hands-on experience testing APIs, web applications, and databases. • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and performance testing methodologies. • Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues across applications, systems, middleware, and databases. • Experience with performance monitoring and testing tools such as AppDynamics, Jenkins, Splunk, or similar platforms. • Strong knowledge of database performance engineering, including tuning, scaling, query analysis, and optimization. • Experience with Java and JavaScript performance analysis, including JVM tuning, garbage collection, heap analysis, and thread diagnostics. • Knowledge of operating system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration. • Experience with system design, architecture, and distributed application environments. • Advanced scripting experience with JMeter or other industry-standard performance testing tools. • Experience with API and UI performance testing frameworks. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, release management, and DevOps practices is a plus. • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, container deployment, and orchestration environments is beneficial. • Experience working with Unix/Linux platforms is advantageous. • Ability to effectively use AI-assisted engineering tools for test automation, analysis, and productivity while applying strong technical judgment. • Experience testing AI/ML-driven systems, model-serving workloads, or data-intensive decisioning platforms is a plus. Benefits: • Comprehensive health and wellness plans. • Paid time off and company holidays. • Flexible and remote-friendly work opportunities. • Maternity and paternity leave benefits. • Retirement benefits to support long-term financial planning. • Inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, collaboration, and equal opportunity. • Opportunity to work on challenging enterprise technology projects with modern engineering practices.
