STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN TEST - MOBILE (M/F/N)

<p><strong>We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer in Test to raise the quality bar across our mobile app and backend domain</strong> - not by writing more tests, but by changing how the whole domain thinks about quality. This is a hands-on technical leadership role at the intersection of QA and mobile development, driving a native-first testing strategy and a culture where developers own quality rather than hand it off.</p><p><strong>Your scope of work will cover 3 areas.</strong></p><p><strong>I. Test strategy &amp; native automation</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Design and own the test strategy</strong> across mobile teams&#xa0;for native <strong>iOS (Swift/SwiftUI)</strong> and <strong>Android (Kotlin)</strong> apps.</li><li>Set strategy for <strong>device and OS-version fragmentation coverage</strong> and drive <strong>flakiness control at scale</strong>, running suites on <strong>BrowserStack</strong> with <strong>GitLab CI</strong>.</li><li>Keep the <strong>backend/API/contract layer strong&#xa0;</strong>and connect it to the mobile client layer.</li><li><strong>Own quality gates</strong> inside app release and store-deployment pipelines, and drive resolution of quality issues that cross team boundaries within the domain.</li></ul><p><strong>II. Coaching, culture &amp; technical leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Pair on testability, shift quality ownership left into the dev workflow, and be the person teams seek out <em>before</em> implementation starts.</li><li><strong>Mentor Senior Software Engineers in Test</strong>, accelerating real, visible growth, and provide technical guidance across the domain.</li><li>Run <strong>knowledge-sharing across QA and Dev</strong>: tech talks, workshops, reusable documentation, pair sessions; co-lead the <strong>OneTech/QA community</strong>.</li><li><strong>Co-shape the domain's technical quality direction with the SEM</strong>, with full autonomy within the domain, and analyze quality trends from reports/metrics to identify improvement areas.</li><li>Define <strong>quality metrics and gates</strong> and use them to frame quality risk in business terms for EMs, SEMs, and PMs.</li></ul><p><strong>III.
