LEAD CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER (M/W/D)

<ul><li>Design, develop, and implement platform solutions that enhance the reliability, security, and scalability of the Database Platform infrastructure.</li><li>Provide technical leadership in AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and security for cloud infrastructure &#xa0;solutions.</li><li>Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Take an active role in shaping the team's strategy, roadmap, and architecture.</li><li>Lead and drive incident management and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring a stable and predictable environment.</li><li>Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing) to ensure the Platform meets availability targets</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p> <ul><li>Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.</li></ul><ul><li>Solid experience with cloud infrastructure solutions such as ECS, EC2, AppSync, Amazon RDS, S3, or comparable technologies.</li><li>Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).</li><li>Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.</li><li>Experience with multi-account AWS setups, landing zones, and governance models.</li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language.</li><li>Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and security best practices.</li><li>Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or similar.</li><li>Ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural and leadership responsibilities.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Nice To Have</strong></p><ul><li>Deep understanding of database internals, including performance tuning, high availability setups, backup and recovery, and replication strategies.</li><li>Practical experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).</li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, security groups, NACLs, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect).</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Traits We Value</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially across teams and disciplines.</li><li>A high sense of ownership and accountability for systems and outcomes.</li><li>Pragmatic problem-solver with a bias for action and continuous improvement.</li><li>Passion for building robust, secure, and scalable platforms.</li><li>Interest in platform engineering and enabling other teams to succeed.</li></ul> <ul><li>A competitive salary package</li><li>Individual training and development opportunities</li><li>Flexibility in balancing office hours and remote work</li><li>Wellpass, JobRad, and much more..</li></ul>
