Accountabilities: The Backend Developer will be responsible for analyzing, transforming, and improving existing backend solutions while supporting the evolution toward a microservices architecture. The role requires strong technical execution, attention to quality, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions. • Analyze existing Node.js source code and identify opportunities for transformation into Java-based microservices. • Develop, maintain, and improve backend services using Java and microservices architecture principles. • Refactor legacy solutions to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability. • Build and maintain integrations with external systems through REST and GraphQL APIs. • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement effective backend solutions. • Follow software engineering best practices, including clean code, documentation, and continuous improvement. Requirements: The ideal candidate has professional experience in backend development with Java, familiarity with modern API integrations, and the ability to work with distributed systems. A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to technical improvements are essential for success in this role. • 3+ years of professional experience with Java development. • Experience working with Node.js codebases and backend system analysis. • Knowledge of microservices architecture and backend development practices. • Experience creating and maintaining unit tests using JUnit. • Experience integrating systems through REST and GraphQL APIs. • Familiarity with Apollo Client or similar GraphQL technologies. • Ability to analyze existing code and contribute to modernization initiatives. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to collaborate effectively in remote and multidisciplinary teams.
