Overview
The Manager–Commercial Marketing leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of marketing programs that drive awareness, demand, and revenue for TDS Telecom’s commercial services. This role oversees full‑funnel marketing efforts—including digital acquisition, lead management, sales enablement, content strategy, and campaign development—to accelerate growth across all commercial segments.
This position partners closely with internal teams to develop integrated go‑to‑market plans that support pipeline growth, customer retention, and new product adoption. Responsibilities include paid media strategy, campaign performance, budget planning, marketing analytics, and delivering insight-driven initiatives. A strong emphasis is placed on improving collaboration with sales teams, enabling both inbound and outbound selling motions, and advancing customer insights to influence decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Lead Management, Nurturing & Marketing Operations
• Partner with Marketing Operations to improve lead quality, routing, tracking, and reporting across inbound and outbound sales teams.
• Develop segmentation, nurture journeys, and lead‑scoring enhancements.
• Oversee A/B testing across landing pages, creative, messaging, and call-to-action strategies.
• Improve form strategy, customer relationship management (CRM) processes, and sales handoff to drive higher conversion and faster pipeline progression.
Demand Generation & Paid Media Strategy
• Lead strategy and execution for multi‑channel demand generation campaigns.
• Manage channel budgets and optimize performance based on pipeline impact, conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI).
• Build full‑funnel programs that support awareness, consideration, and bottom‑funnel conversion.
Campaign Development & Go-to-Market Strategies
• Collaborate with Product on integrated go-to-market plans.
• Develop persona-based messaging, vertical positioning, and content that supports every stage of the buyer journey.
• Produce campaign calendars, creative briefs, and content frameworks (e.g., webinars, thought leadership, case studies, sales collateral).
Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Strengthen alignment with Commercial Sales through scalable enablement programs, including webinars, events, sales toolkits, playbooks, and competitive positioning.
• Provide targeted content, lead intelligence, and prospecting support for inbound and outbound sales motions.
Market Insights, Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Partner with the customer experience (CX)/Insights on customer research, feedback loops, persona insights, and competitive intelligence.
• Apply insights to inform messaging, creative direction, product positioning, and campaign strategy.
• Lead reporting and analysis across channel performance, funnel metrics, and campaign results for leadership dashboards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, or related field.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role or equivalent leadership experience.
Other Qualifications
• Strong understanding of full funnel marketing and demand generation.
• Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo).
• Ability to analyze campaign performance and optimize based on data.
• Experience with lead management, segmentation, and nurture programs.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong cross functional collaboration skills.
• Data driven, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to support events, sponsorships, and community-facing activities that enhance commercial market visibility.
• Experience managing external agency and partner relationships (paid media, creative execution, and analytics).
• Ability to maintain documentation for campaign processes, testing protocols, and marketing operations.
