Job Expectations: • Position Type: Experienced - Mid/Senior • Employment Type: Full-Time; Permanent (Direct Hire) • Work Setup & Location: Hybrid (2-3x onsite/week) - BGC, Taguig • Work Schedule: Weekdays; Night Shift (US) • Headcounts Needed: 30+ FTEs • Industry: Healthcare About the Job: We are looking for an IP Medical Coder IV to join our client's healthcare team and ensure accurate coding of inpatient medical records. In this role, you will assign diagnosis and procedure codes, review medical documentation, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and industry standards. You will also help maintain coding accuracy, resolve coding issues, and support quality and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient medical records. • Code patient cases, including low-acuity inpatient, OB/NB, acute psychiatric, and one-day stay admissions. • Review medical records to ensure complete and accurate coding. • Apply appropriate modifiers and resolve coding edits. • Abstract required clinical information from patient records. • Ensure compliance with AHIMA, AAPC, and industry coding standards. • Respond to coding audits and update records based on audit findings. • Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality standards. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred. • At least 2 years of experience in inpatient medical coding. • Active AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CIC, or CCS) is required. • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines. • Experience using EMR/EHR systems , such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or 3M Encoder. • Experience reviewing and interpreting inpatient medical records. • Can start immediately, if possible.
