The Role BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead the team driving the evolution of the NHI Governance domain within our Pathfinder products. You will build, grow, and lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering a new platform-native module and the scalable, secure, and extensible services that power our SaaS offerings; helping customers discover, assess, and remediate non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, secrets and keys, and AI agents) across cloud and on-premise environments. This role blends people leadership, delivery ownership, and technical judgment: you will set the bar for execution and quality while developing engineers and partnering across product, design, and platform teams to solve complex identity and security challenges at scale. What You’ll Do <ul> <li>Experience leading and managing software engineering teams building cloud-based or SaaS products. </li> <li>A strong technical foundation, with the ability to engage credibly in architecture, design, and code-level trade-offs. </li> <li>Experience leading teams that use AI-assisted, agentic development tools such as Claude Code, and foster their effective and responsible adoption. </li> <li>Proven track record of delivering complex projects on schedule and at a high-quality bar. </li> <li>Experience partnering with product and design in an agile delivery environment. </li> <li>Familiarity with modern cloud-native development, microservices, and public cloud providers (AWS preferred). </li> <li>Experience developing engineers and growing talent through coaching and mentorship. </li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive clarity and direction amid ambiguity. </li> <li>Excellent communication skills, able to bridge technical and business needs across cross-functional teams. </li> </ul> Nice To Have <ul> <li>Domain experience in identity security: IAM, NHI/Secrets, cloud IAM (AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra ID), OAuth/OIDC. </li> <li>Experience delivering multi-tenant shared platform services consumed by other engineering teams. </li> <li>Experience leading a team through a 0-to-1 module or domain build. </li> </ul> Who You Are <ul> <li>A people-first leader who takes ownership of team outcomes and grows engineers. </li> <li>A bar-raiser for delivering results and relentlessly pursuing high quality. </li> <li>Someone who balances technical excellence with pragmatic decision-making, ensuring security without unnecessary complexity. </li> <li>A strong communicator, able to bridge technical and business needs in cross-team and cross-functional discussions. </li> <li>A builder of healthy, inclusive, high-trust teams. </li> </ul> Better Together Diversity.
