About The Role ApartmentIQ is seeking a Data Quality Lead to oversee the processes, controls, and team responsible for maintaining the quality of the data used across our products. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for investigating data issues, identifying root causes, improving quality-control processes, and reporting on overall data health. The Data Quality Lead will work closely with Product and Engineering to improve internal tools and experiment with AI-assisted workflows that make data operations more efficient and scalable. As the function grows, this role will also be responsible for hiring, developing, and managing a team of data quality analysts. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Lead the investigation and resolution of data quality issues.</li> <li>Conduct root cause analysis and partner with Product and Engineering on corrective actions.</li> <li>Develop and maintain data quality controls, review processes, and operating procedures.</li> <li>Experiment with automated and AI-assisted workflows used to support data quality operations.</li> <li>Help identify, test, and implement new tools and agents that improve team efficiency and accuracy.</li> <li>Establish reporting and metrics to monitor data quality, workload, and team performance.</li> <li>Identify recurring issues, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvement.</li> <li>Prioritize and manage data quality workflows to ensure issues are addressed efficiently.</li> <li>Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.</li> <li>Build, manage, and develop a team of data quality analysts as the function expands.</li> <li>Maintain clear documentation and consistent operating standards across the team.</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li>4 + years of experience in data quality, data operations, analytics, research, or a related field.</li> <li>Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Experience conducting root cause analysis and translating findings into actionable recommendations.</li> <li>Proficiency with SQL, spreadsheets, and business intelligence or reporting tools.</li> <li>Experience developing or improving operational processes and quality controls.</li> <li>Comfort working with automation and AI-assisted tools.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.</li> <li>Ability to balance hands-on execution with team leadership and longer-term process development.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Experience leading, managing, or mentoring analysts.</li> <li>Familiarity with AI agents, automated workflows, or human-review systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with data collection and processing pipelines.</li> <li>Experience in multifamily housing, real estate, or proptech.</li> <li>Experience building a data quality or data operations function.</li> </ul> Why Choose Us <ul> <li>Remote-First: We offer the freedom to work from home across most of the U.S. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, balanced with high-energy in-person offsites to build real connections and celebrate our wins together.</li> <li>Competitive Compensation: We believe in hiring the best and paying accordingly.
