Job description

Accountabilities: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving data platforms that support strategic business needs. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to create scalable solutions, improve data reliability, and enable advanced analytics and AI initiatives. • Design and evolve data architectures by defining standards, best practices, governance strategies, scalability approaches, FinOps principles, and integrations with AI platforms (ML/GenAI). • Support data-driven initiatives from project conception, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions. • Develop scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines using DataOps principles to ensure quality, automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency. • Build and optimize solutions based on modern data architecture concepts, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh environments. • Implement and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and orchestration processes to support reliable data operations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business challenges into measurable data solutions through KPIs and analytical insights. Requirements: The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, cloud environments, and large-scale data solutions, combining technical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders. • Solid experience working as a Data Engineer in large-scale data environments. • Strong knowledge of data architecture concepts, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh. • Advanced SQL skills, including optimization of complex queries. • Advanced programming experience with Python and PySpark. • Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as Glue, EMR, Redshift, S3, and Step Functions. • Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration workflows using tools such as Airflow and Step Functions. • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and automated testing. • Ability to translate business requirements into quantitative metrics, KPIs, and OKRs. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.
