<p>Join ALTEN as an <strong>Avionics Systems Verification & Validation Engineer</strong> and play a pivotal role in the development, certification, and verification of <strong>electric aviation platforms</strong>. You’ll work at the intersection of <strong>systems engineering, safety, certification, and V&V verification</strong>, contributing to groundbreaking projects that are shaping the future of aviation.</p><p>This role offers hands-on involvement in <strong>requirements definition, modeling, testing, and compliance demonstration</strong> at the <strong>Component, System, and Aircraft levels</strong>. <strong>Roles Available:</strong> 1</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, manage, and validate <strong>aircraft, system and component-level requirements</strong>, ensuring <strong>bidirectional traceability</strong> and alignment with regulatory and certification needs.</li><li>Apply <strong>SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761 processes</strong> to support <strong>safety assessments (FHA, FTA, FMEA)</strong> and <strong>certification planning</strong> under <strong>Part 23/27/33</strong>.</li><li>Author, execute, and maintain <strong>verification plans, procedures, and test reports</strong>, coordinating <strong>lab, integration, and system-level tests</strong> for systems like <strong>vibrations, airframe, fuselage, interiors, environmental control systems, and electric engines</strong>.</li><li>Perform <strong>system behavior modeling</strong> and support <strong>test automation and data analysis</strong> to ensure compliance with certification schedules.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field</strong>, or <strong>relevant technical military background with equivalent experience</strong>.</li><li><strong>10+ years of experience</strong> on <strong>Part 23 or 27 aircraft or rotorcraft programs</strong>.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of:<ul><li><p><strong>SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761, FAA Order 8110.4C</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>RTCA DO-160G, DO-331, DO-178C</strong></p></li></ul></li><li>Experience with <strong>ARP4754A-based verification</strong> and <strong>requirements-based testing and traceability audits</strong>.</li><li>Proficiency with <strong>ALM and verification tools</strong> (Polarion, JIRA, Confluence).</li><li>Experience with <strong>solid modeling tools</strong> (Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).</li><li>Comfortable working in a <strong>cross-functional, certification-focused environment</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>Part 23 Amendment 64, ASTM F3338, Part 33 certification, or electric propulsion systems</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Polarion ALM, CATIA, ANSYS, Mil-HDBK-217 / Mil-HDBK-21</strong></li><li>Familiarity with<strong> reliability tools</strong> (PTC Windchill, Isograph, Relyence)</li><li>Test and automation experience using <strong>Python or other test automation frameworks</strong></li><li>Background in <strong>aerospace verification & validation</strong></li><li>Prior experience in a <strong>certifying environment</strong> (Part 23, 25, 27, 29, or DO-based programs for EASA or FAA).</li></ul>
