Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field operations across a variety of residential and light commercial construction projects throughout the Lancaster, PA area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working alongside crews, and can keep projects running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
•
Lead and actively participate in daily construction activities on residential, multifamily, renovation, remodeling, addition, new home, and light commercial projects.
•
Supervise field crews, assign daily tasks, and ensure work is completed according to project plans and timelines.
•
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, scopes of work, and other construction documents.
•
Perform and oversee carpentry and general construction work while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
•
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project management to ensure smooth project execution.
•
Maintain safe, organized, and productive jobsites in compliance with company safety standards.
•
Assist with project startups, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
•
Identify field challenges, develop practical solutions, and minimize project delays.
•
Track daily progress and communicate project updates, material needs, and scheduling concerns to management.
•
Travel to project sites throughout the Lancaster, PA region.
Qualifications
•
5+ years of experience as a Construction Foreman, Working Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman, or similar leadership role.
•
Strong experience with residential construction, multifamily renovations, remodeling, additions, new home construction, or light commercial projects.
•
Hands-on carpentry and general construction experience.
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
•
Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and manage daily jobsite operations.
•
Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and delivering projects on schedule.
•
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Lancaster area.
