SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

We are seeking for a Senior Data Engineer for our client from the banking sector. Job description: • Supported data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives within the banking sector. • Contributed to BCBS239 implementation by identifying and resolving data quality issues. • Maintained and enhanced business glossaries to ensure consistent data definitions across the organization. • Implemented and monitored data quality controls to improve data accuracy and reliability. • Defined and maintained end-to-end data lineage to support regulatory and business requirements. • Collaborated with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen data management practices. • Supported the enhancement of regulatory reporting processes and data governance frameworks. • Ensured compliance with internal data governance standards and regulatory requirements. • Facilitated cross-functional cooperation to improve data ownership, stewardship, and accountability. • Experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles • Banking or financial services industry experience • Strong SQL skills • Data analysis capabilities • Understanding of data warehousing and reporting • Knowledge of database structures • Experience with MS Office • Experience with JIRA, Confluence • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements • Fluent English (written and spoken) Nice to Have Skills: • Regulatory reporting experience • Knowledge of BCBS239 • Business knowledge of banking products, systems, and processes • Experience with data lineage frameworks • Diverse and technically challenging projects. • Flexible working hours and a hybrid or remote workplace model. • Flexible schedule and an Agile/SCRUM environment. • Technical equipment that you can choose.
