SAP SD / Order-to-Cash Consultant – S/4HANA (Freelance) Industry: Fashion Retail / E-Commerce Start Date: 1 September 2026 Initial Duration: 3 months, with potential extension Capacity: Full-time, 5 days per week Location: 100% remote Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract Project Overview: Our client, a leading international fashion retail and e-commerce organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant to support and further develop its SAP Order-to-Cash landscape. The consultant will act as the senior SAP SD and OTC subject-matter expert within the SAP team, taking ownership of complex functional topics across the full project lifecycle. The assignment combines strategic process consulting with hands-on SAP S/4HANA configuration and implementation. The successful consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams to analyse, design and optimise scalable Order-to-Cash processes within a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the senior SAP SD and Order-to-Cash expert within the SAP team. • Support, enhance and optimise end-to-end OTC processes in SAP S/4HANA. • Analyse existing business processes and translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions. • Provide expert guidance on complex SAP SD and OTC scenarios. • Perform hands-on SAP SD configuration and customising. • Lead SAP OTC initiatives from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, testing, go-live and post-go-live support. • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for standardisation or automation. • Collaborate closely with SAP MM, LE and FI specialists to ensure seamless cross-module integration. • Support the design and implementation of interfaces between SAP and surrounding systems. • Create and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documentation and interface designs. • Coordinate testing activities, defect resolution and business acceptance. • Independently manage assigned workstreams and drive topics through to completion. Required Experience and Qualifications: • At least eight years of hands-on SAP SD consulting and configuration experience. • Strong expertise across end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes. • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP SD customising. • Strong understanding of integration between SAP SD and the MM, LE and FI modules. • Experience leading SAP initiatives across the complete implementation lifecycle. • Strong requirements-gathering, process-design and functional-specification experience. • Ability to analyse complex business requirements and develop practical, scalable solutions. • Experience working independently in remote and international project environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Proactive, ownership-driven working style. • Fluent written and spoken English. Highly Desirable • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. • Previous experience within the retail, fashion or e-commerce industry. • Basic ABAP knowledge. • Ability to debug ABAP programs and investigate technical issues. • Experience with high-volume sales, fulfilment and customer-order environments. Ideal Consultant Profile: The ideal consultant is not purely advisory. The project requires a senior SAP SD professional who can combine process expertise with hands-on system configuration and independently lead OTC topics from initial analysis through successful delivery.
