IT PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (PART TIME)

<p>Role Overview</p><p>We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist with strong knowledge of IT hardware and the UAE distribution market.</p><p>The person will support our sales and project teams throughout the procurement process—from receiving an RFQ and sourcing suitable products to supplier comparison, purchasing, and delivery tracking.</p><p>Strong hardware knowledge is essential. The candidate should be comfortable sourcing and comparing laptops, desktops, servers, storage, networking equipment, firewalls, surveillance systems, UPS systems, communication devices, and related products.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>● Receive RFQs and procurement requests from the sales and technical teams.</p><p>● Source IT hardware, software licences, subscriptions, services, and renewals.</p><p>● Obtain and compare quotations from UAE distributors, vendors, and suppliers.</p><p>● Confirm that proposed products meet the requested technical and commercial requirements.</p><p>● Suggest suitable alternatives when requested products are unavailable or discontinued.</p><p>● Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty conditions, availability, and delivery schedules.</p><p>● Manage deal registrations, project pricing requests, discounts, and quotation validity.</p><p>● Prepare supplier comparison and project-costing sheets.</p><p>● Support the sales team with accurate and timely purchasing information.</p><p>● Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records in Odoo.</p><p>● Track orders, deliveries, licences, warranties, and outstanding supplier actions.</p><p>● Coordinate shipments and calculate freight, customs, VAT, and landed costs when required.</p><p>● Maintain supplier records and purchasing price history.</p><p>● Coordinate with finance regarding supplier invoices, payments, credit notes, and discrepancies.</p><p>● Report stock shortages, price changes, delivery delays, and other procurement risks.</p><p>● Build and maintain good relationships with UAE distributors and suppliers.</p><p>&#xa0;</p> <p>● 2–4 years of experience in IT procurement, preferably within the UAE.</p><p>● Strong practical knowledge of IT hardware across computers, infrastructure, networking, security, surveillance, power, and communication solutions.</p><p>● Ability to compare products, verify configurations and part numbers, and identify suitable alternatives.</p><p>● Good knowledge of UAE IT distributors, suppliers, stock availability, and procurement channels.</p><p>● Previous experience with an IT reseller, system integrator, technology distributor, or managed service provider.</p><p>● Familiarity with brands such as HP, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Fortinet, Synology, APC, Hikvision, Axis, Grandstream, Microsoft, Kaspersky, ESET, Sophos, Veeam, or similar vendors.</p><p>● Good understanding of software licensing, subscriptions, warranties, and renewals.</p><p>● Strong negotiation, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.</p><p>● High attention to detail when handling models, quantities, prices, currencies, and delivery terms.</p><p>● Good Excel or spreadsheet skills.</p><p>● Experience using Odoo or another ERP system is preferred.</p><p>● Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.</p><p>● Must be based in the UAE.</p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><p>● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.</p><p>● Experience with vendor portals, deal registration, special pricing, and project discounts.</p><p>● Familiarity with UAE VAT, imports, freight, customs, and landed-cost calculations.</p>
