SAP SD/MM 3PL WAREHOUSE INTEGRATION CONSULTANT

Role overview We are looking for an experienced SAP SD/MM Consultant to join a long-term international SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The role focuses on the integration of SAP S/4HANA with external warehouse management systems operated by third-party logistics providers. Warehouse activities are performed entirely within the external 3PL system, while SAP remains responsible for the relevant sales, delivery, purchasing, inventory and financial processes. This is not an SAP EWM or SAP WM implementation role. We are looking for a functional SAP SD/MM Consultant who has participated in one or more projects involving integration between SAP and an external warehouse or 3PL operator. Key responsibilities • Analyse SAP SD/MM processes related to the integration with external 3PL warehouses. • Support the design and implementation of interfaces between SAP S/4HANA and external warehouse management systems. • Define functional requirements for inbound and outbound logistics messages. • Support processes related to outbound deliveries, inbound deliveries, goods receipt, goods issue, stock movements and order fulfilment. • Work with handling units and relevant logistics data exchanged between SAP and the external warehouse. • Define functional data scope and mapping requirements for IDoc and EDI interfaces. • Cooperate with external 3PL providers, business stakeholders and technical integration teams. • Prepare functional specifications and support interface development. • Coordinate and execute functional, integration and end-to-end testing. • Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and post-go-live stabilization. • Analyse integration issues and coordinate their resolution across SAP, middleware and external WMS teams. • Ensure alignment with the global SAP S/4HANA template across multiple European countries. Requirements • Strong functional experience in SAP SD and good understanding of SAP MM. • Experience with SAP sales, delivery, shipping and order fulfilment processes. • Practical experience in at least one integration project between SAP and an external warehouse or 3PL operator. • Experience with IDoc or EDI-based logistics integrations. • Knowledge of inbound and outbound delivery processes, goods movements and inventory-related integration points. • Experience with handling units. • Ability to prepare functional specifications, interface requirements and test scenarios. • Experience with integration testing, UAT, cutover and go-live support. • Ability to cooperate effectively with business users, technical integration teams and external logistics providers. • Ability to work independently in an international programme environment. • Fluent English.
