Job description

<p>The Software Engineer will perform complex code analysis and assist in the design, development, testing and maintenance of software products for use by our employees and/or customers.&#xa0; They will participate in the full development life cycle and consult with senior peers on projects.</p><p>Duties and/or Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Assist in developing applications and refining product requirements. Working with team lead, internal resources and clients to assess technical and operational needs.</li><li>Analyze requirements and assist in design development based on selected architectures.</li><li>Design solutions that are reliable, secure, simple, efficient, and maintainable.</li><li>Assist in estimating the scope of designs and participate in design review sessions.</li><li>Perform programming tasks to deliver design objectives.</li><li>Confirm program operation by conducting unit and system level tests.</li><li>Assist in product test planning, documentation and problem resolution.</li><li>Perform code reviews on pull requests from other developers.</li><li>Participate or contribute as part of a group to self-directed projects and research for Team Sprint.</li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul> <p><strong>Requirements&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science or a related science or technical field</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming techniques and languages (C#, C++, Java)</li><li>Experience in Microsoft .NET Framework and the C# programming language or similar (Java, C++).</li><li>Database systems such as SQL and / or experience with ORM tools</li><li>Experience in web programming involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Single-Page Applications (React, Angular)</li><li>WPF or other client application development</li><li>Unit testing / functional testing for C# and / or React</li><li>Experience using AI-powered tools for development (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)</li><li>Experience integrating AI tools to streamline the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, code review, testing)</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud providers and services (AWS, Google)</li><li>Experience with containers / container orchestration or microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)</li><li>Understanding of design patterns and concepts such as MVVM, Inversion of Control, or others</li><li>Understanding of how to utilize LLMs in application features</li><li>Technical writing and design documentation</li></ul> <ul><li><p><strong>Location:</strong> Houston, Texas, remote with some in-person meetings&#xa0;</p></li><li><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time</li><li><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Competitive compensation&#xa0;commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off).</p></li><li><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> Collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.</p></li></ul><p>Join IPT Global and help us shape the next generation of software that supports the energy industry’s drive toward safety, efficiency, and innovation.</p><p>&#xa0;</p>
