About the Role We're seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Scribe to support a podiatric practice known for individualized treatment plans and a strong focus on patient education. From routine foot and ankle care to surgical cases, this practice sees a wide range of conditions — and needs a scribe who can keep pace with that variety while capturing accurate, complete documentation. You'll work closely with the provider across in-office and telemedicine visits, making sure every encounter is documented clearly and thoroughly so the patient record reflects the same quality of care the patient receives in the room. What You'll Do Document Patient Encounters • Provide real-time, accurate documentation during patient encounters, including patient histories, HPI, ROS, physical exams, assessments, treatment plans, and procedure notes • Apply strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans across podiatric and related musculoskeletal cases Support Provider Workflow • Prepare charts ahead of appointments • Update documentation live during visits with a high level of accuracy • Finalize clinical notes to ensure the medical record is complete and accurate Assist with Telemedicine & Clinical Coordination • Support telemedicine appointments by documenting provider-patient interactions in real time • Ensure charts are completed efficiently to support continuity of care across in-person and virtual visits Required Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of medical experience in podiatry, dermatology, orthopedics, or sports medicine • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans • Experience providing virtual medical scribing during patient encounters with accurate, real-time documentation • Able to document patient histories, HPI, ROS, physical exams, assessments, treatment plans, and procedure notes with a high level of accuracy • Comfortable supporting telemedicine appointments , documenting provider-patient interactions and completing charts efficiently • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills (English only) • Reliable high-speed internet and a private, HIPAA-appropriate remote workspace Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Practice Fusion (EMR) • Familiarity with Weave (VoIP) • Direct experience scribing for a podiatry practice specifically Why This Role You'll support a provider who places real emphasis on patient education and individualized care — meaning your documentation directly reflects a thoughtful, patient-first treatment approach across both surgical and conservative cases.
