Step Up Tutoring is mobilizing a national network of tutors to provide free, one-on-one online tutoring and mentorship to 2nd–6th grade students from underserved communities.<br />We pair trained tutors with AI-powered learning software and research-backed curriculum, ensuring each student gets both a caring human mentor and highly effective academic support that is tailored to their personal needs, at a fraction of traditional cost.</p><p></p><p>Step Up Tutoring is seeking student employees to provide 1-on-1 tutoring to 2nd-6th grade students to help build fundamental math and literacy skills and to provide support and encouragement. All tutoring will take place virtually! No prior tutoring experience is needed. Work-study tutors must work with a minimum of 3 students, which is 7 hours of work a week. You may tutor more students based on your award amount and on your schedule/total hours of availability.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Work virtually with students in 2nd-6th grade, two sessions each week</li><li>Tutor/Mentor a minimum of 3 students</li><li>Each tutoring session is 45 minutes, and you receive 15 minutes of prep time. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
