Step Up Tutoring is mobilizing a national network of tutors to provide free, one-on-one online tutoring and mentorship to 2nd–6th grade students from underserved communities.<br />We pair trained tutors with AI-powered learning software and research-backed curriculum, ensuring each student gets both a caring human mentor and highly effective academic support that is tailored to their personal needs, at a fraction of traditional cost.</p><p></p><p>Step Up Tutoring is seeking student employees to provide 1-on-1 tutoring to 2nd-6th grade students to help build fundamental math and literacy skills and to provide support and encouragement. All tutoring will take place virtually! No prior tutoring experience is needed. Work-study tutors must work with a minimum of 3 students, which is 7 hours of work a week. You may tutor more students based on your award amount and on your schedule/total hours of availability.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Work virtually with students in 2nd-6th grade, two sessions each week</li><li>Tutor/Mentor a minimum of 3 students</li><li>Each tutoring session is 45 minutes, and you receive 15 minutes of prep time.
