<p><span class="emphasis-2"><b>What if your project leadership skills helped new medicines take their first step in human clinical trials?</b></span></p><p></p><p>Fortrea is one of the world´s largest and longest-established early-phase clinical research organizations.</p><p></p><p>From first-in-human to exploratory biomarker or complex ph1b programs, our <b>Clinical Pharmacology</b> teams generate critical safety, tolerability, PK and PD data that help new medicines to move forward.</p><p></p><p>We are currently hiring a <b>Project Manager I </b>and a <b> Project Manager II</b> in <b>the UK</b> to drive this mission forward.</p><p></p><p>This is a full-time, <b>remote</b> job.</p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis-2"><b>DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></span></h1><p></p><ul><li><p>Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned <b>Healthy Volunteers</b> and <b>Patient</b> Clinical Pharmacology projects independently or under the direction of a Senior Project Lead, overseeing complex, high‑value studies across regional / global, cross‑functional teams.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Act as the <b>primary point of contact</b> for sponsor project teams, managing expectations, driving communication, and building long‑term client relationships.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Own <b>project scope, timelines, and budgets</b>, proactively managing change, financial performance, and delivery against contractual commitments.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Apply your project leadership expertise to <b>anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks</b>, managing critical paths to ensure key milestones and performance metrics remain aligned with both client and Fortrea objectives.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Provide <b>senior leadership within a matrix project environment</b>, guiding and mentoring project team members while resolving issues and escalations at pace.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Ensure <b>quality, compliance, and audit readiness</b>, maintaining oversight of TMFs, CTMS activities, project training, and adherence to SOPs and ICH/GCP standards.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p>Contribute to <b>business growth and operational excellence</b>, supporting bid defence activities, strategic client relationships, KPI oversight, and process improvement initiatives.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis-2">AND YOUR LONG-TERM CONTRIBUTION?</span></h1><p></p><p>You will play a key role in <b>strengthening how Fortrea delivers Phase Ib clinical trials</b>, helping evolve our approach to more complex early‑phase programs.</p><p></p><p>Beyond individual projects, your experience will support <b>process innovation </b>and<b> operational delivery</b>, influencing how Phase Ib studies are planned, executed, and scaled across Clinical Pharmacology Services.</p><p></p><p></p><h1><span class="emphasis-2">WHO YOU ARE</span></h1><p></p><p></p><ul><li><p>For <span class="emphasis-2">Project Manager II</span>, we need you to bring extensive clinical research experience within a CRO or biopharmaceutical environment, including at least <b>2 years of full project management accountability</b> on domestic, regional and or international clinical studies.</p></li><li><p>For <span class="emphasis-2">Project Manager I, </span>at least 4 years of clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO, including a minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a project management environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Phase 1 and Phase Ib experience</b>: Familiarity with early-phase trials in healthy volunteers and patients and their fast-paced environment is ideal, but international PM experience in Ph II-III will also be welcomed.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Financial Acumen</b>: study budget management skills, with experience in forecasting, revenue recognition and change order development and negotiation.</p></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Leadership</b>: proven ability to inspire and manage globally dispersed teams and vendors, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and achieving core project milestones.
