QA ENGINEER (SELENIUM/C#/SQL SERVER) - FULL REMOTE PORTUGAL

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Join a consulting engagement where quality is a first-class citizen. This is a fully remote, senior-level QA role embedded within a product team that values structured testing practices, solid documentation, and a healthy balance between manual and automated coverage. Language requirement: English B2 (Upper Intermediate) minimum — collaboration with international stakeholders is expected. PROJECT & CONTEXT You will work across web application testing — covering both frontend and backend layers — contributing to test planning, execution, and automation pipeline maintenance. The environment is structured around agile delivery, with tooling that spans from manual API validation to CI-integrated automated test suites. The tech stack includes: Selenium , C# , Visual Studio , SQL Server , Insomnia , Swagger , Xray , TeamCity , and Bitbucket . WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required) • Hands-on experience with manual testing of web applications — frontend and backend • API testing proficiency using Insomnia and/or Swagger • SQL Server database validation skills • Experience executing regression, exploratory, and confirmation testing (functional and non-functional) • Ability to create test plans, test scenarios, and test cases from feature requirements • Test evidence documentation using Xray • Experience analysing and reporting failures from CI/CD pipelines (e.g. TeamCity ) • Automated test creation and execution using Selenium , C# , and Visual Studio • Version control experience with Bitbucket • Maintenance and upkeep of automation test pipelines • Fluent written and verbal communication in English (B2+) NICE TO HAVE (Preferred) • Experience working in agile/scrum product teams • Familiarity with other CI/CD tools beyond TeamCity • Background in non-functional testing (performance, load, security) Compensation: €1000 – €1,250/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
