<p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>We’re looking for an <strong>Data Engineer Manager</strong> to lead the design and implementation of advanced data governance and privacy solutions for a high-impact enterprise initiative. This role requires a strong balance between technical leadership and hands-on execution, with a focus on leveraging AI-driven automation to enforce governance at scale.</p><p>You will be responsible for defining governance strategies, building intelligent automation frameworks, and ensuring secure, compliant, and high-quality data across modern cloud platforms.</p><p><strong>What will you be doing?</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of <strong>AI-driven data governance solutions</strong>, ensuring automation and scalability across data platforms.</li><li>Build and oversee the development of <strong>agent-based frameworks</strong> to enforce data governance, privacy, and compliance automatically.</li><li>Actively contribute hands-on to the development of solutions in <strong>Snowflake</strong> and AWS environments.</li><li>Implement and oversee <strong>PII protection strategies</strong>, including data masking and obfuscation through agent-based approaches.</li><li>Design and optimize <strong>data workflows in AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, AgentCore)</strong>, including data cleanup and performance optimization initiatives.</li><li>Leverage <strong>CoCo and Cortex</strong> to build intelligent governance processes and enhance automation capabilities.</li><li>Establish and enforce <strong>data governance standards, policies, and best practices</strong> across teams and platforms.</li><li>Audit data processes and outputs to <strong>detect trends, patterns, and anomalies</strong>, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align governance strategies with business and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and drive scalable solutions.</li><li>Mentor and guide team members while remaining actively involved in technical execution.</li></ul>
<p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><ul><li>7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, or related fields.</li><li>Proven experience in a <strong>technical leadership or managerial role</strong> with hands-on involvement.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Snowflake</strong> (Must).</li><li>Deep expertise in <strong>Data Governance frameworks and implementation</strong> (Must).</li><li>Hands-on experience building <strong>AI/ML-driven or agent-based governance solutions</strong> (Must).</li><li>Experience implementing <strong>data masking and privacy solutions using agents</strong> (Must).</li><li>Strong experience with <strong>AWS services</strong>, including S3, Glue, Lambda, AgentCore, and data optimization/cleanup workflows (Must).</li><li>Proven expertise using <strong>CoCo and Cortex</strong> effectively for intelligent data processing (Must).</li><li>Experience auditing data systems to identify <strong>trends, patterns, and anomalies</strong> (Must).</li><li>Strong experience with <strong>SQL and Python</strong> (or similar) for data processing and automation.</li><li>Ability to balance <strong>hands-on execution with strategic leadership</strong>.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.</li></ul>
