They provide hands-on technical support and work closely with customers to ensure equipment performance, efficiency, and a positive customer experience.</p><p></p><p><b>Location</b></p><p>This is a remote role based in Maryland/DC region and will require up to 75% travel within the designated territory. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided. </p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Carry out installation, preventative maintenance, repair support, and training of <a href="https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/home/industrial/chromatography.html" target="_blank"><b>Chromatography</b></a> and <a href="https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/home/industrial/mass-spectrometry.html" target="_blank"><b>Mass Spectrometry</b></a> product in a professional, reliable, and customer-orientated manner</li><li>Responsibility for meeting customer SLA and internal KPI objectives</li><li>Ensuring customer satisfaction in all aspects of services provided</li><li>Share experience and standard approach of product services and applications with colleagues. Contribute to knowledge base to allow continued improvement of work efficiency and effectiveness</li><li>Assist the Commercial Team with technical information, training, and demonstrations</li><li>Accurately document field service activities, including installation report and service work report, and submit timely through the required system</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Keys to Success</b></p><p><b>Education</b></p><p>Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, engineering, physics, or equivalent and 2+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing LC/MS instruments or Advanced degree with relevant experience</p><p></p><p><b>Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose issues down to component level</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics</li><li>Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment preferred</li><li>Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports</li><li>Ability to effectively train and support customers with equipment operation</li><li>Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards</li><li>Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Strong organizational and time management capabilities</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software</li><li>Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various laboratory environments</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other</b></p><ul><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future</li><li>Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Compensation and Benefits</b></u></p>The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $31.73–$42.31.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
