SOFTWARE ENGINEERING TEAM LEAD

Accountabilities The Software Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for leading engineering teams, supporting technical delivery, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include: • Lead, mentor, and develop a software engineering team, supporting individual growth and career progression. • Drive the delivery of critical products, features, and technical solutions that support business objectives. • Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. • Promote engineering best practices, modern development approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Create an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, ownership, and accountability. • Influence technical decisions related to architecture, scalability, and long-term platform evolution. • Support effective Agile delivery processes and ensure teams remain aligned with priorities and goals. • Guide engineers through technical challenges while encouraging autonomy and problem-solving. • Introduce and promote the use of productivity-enhancing tools, including AI-powered development solutions. • Ensure software solutions are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with engineering standards. Requirements The ideal candidate should have strong software engineering experience combined with proven leadership capabilities. Required qualifications include: • Proven experience leading software engineering teams and mentoring developers. • Strong PHP development expertise with experience building production applications. • Experience with Symfony or similar modern frameworks. • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and scalable software design. • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design principles and software architecture best practices. • Experience delivering software solutions within Agile and cross-functional environments. • Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, or GitLab workflows. • Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity is preferred. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to coach, inspire, and empower engineers to achieve their best performance. • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and solutions evolve quickly.
