Job description

You will build the firm's knowledge and publishing function - a founding role, and among the first genuinely AI-native positions in legal publishing anywhere. Working with the most advanced AI systems available - on a top-tier subscription provided by the firm - and tax research databases, you will research, write and publish substantial Canadian tax analysis at a depth and pace no conventional practice can match: roughly ten pieces a month, from standard analyses to flagship cornerstone resources, each verified against primary sources. You will also carry that analysis across the firm's other channels: four one-minute video scripts each month, plus short-form pieces, LinkedIn posts, and client communications. You hold editorial control of the publication process. You set the schedule, and every piece moves to it - through lawyer review, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and final sign-off - with our tax lawyers, our SEO/GEO consultant and our developer each playing their part under your direction. This is a lawyer's job, not a marketing job. Our publications are on Canadian tax law and must carry a lawyer's precision; their authority - and the firm's - rests on the rigour behind them. You do not need Canadian tax law knowledge. A Canadian tax lawyer will review all publications. The successful candidate will be on a path to lead the firm's entire knowledge function in time (e.g., building out a precedent database). We are looking for someone who has rigour, judgment and exceptional English. • 100% remote work arrangement. • Flexible work schedule that supports work-life balance. • Collaborative, supportive, and people-first work environment. • Work alongside exceptional leaders who value mentorship, autonomy, and professional growth. • Direct exposure to and collaboration with executives, lawyers, and business leaders. • Opportunity to own and shape the firm's billing and collections function as the organization grows. • Continuous learning and development in a highly specialized tax litigation practice. • Be part of a close-knit team where your contributions have a direct impact on the firm's success. • Research and write approximately ten substantial pieces per month - standard analyses plus one flagship cornerstone resource - working from topic brief to outline, structured lawyer input and final draft, with the premium AI toolchain the firm provides. • Adapt the firm's analysis across formats - four one-minute video scripts each month, plus LinkedIn posts, short pieces and client emails - plain language, legally exact. • Verify every legal claim against primary sources: legislation, CRA circulars, guides and internal manuals, case law. • Edit every piece to publication standard - grammar, style, consistency and the firm's tone of voice - and confirm the published page matches the approved version. • Direct the publication process end to end: tax lawyer review, SEO/GEO review, final sign-off, publication and post-publication checks. • Manage the specialists around the programme - our SEO/GEO consultant (based in Europe) and our web developer - and oversee the interactive tools that accompany cornerstone pieces. • Track Canadian tax developments - federal budgets, new CRA circulars and guidance, case law - and keep the firm's publications current as the law evolves. • Report monthly to the firm's leadership on output and performance. • Member of the Philippine Bar of at least five years' standing. • Exceptional legal skills: statutes and administrative materials read with a lawyer's precision, every claim verified against primary sources. • Exceptional written English in both registers the role demands - formal legal analysis and casual copy - with the ear to hold the firm's voice across audiences. • Genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for AI-first legal work - the tools do the typing; you supply the judgment and the verification. • The self-motivation to run with limited supervision, and the standing to set a publication schedule for senior lawyers and outside specialists - and hold them to it. • Training at a top-tier firm, with excellent academics. • CPA-Lawyer. • Tax practice experience in any jurisdiction. • Familiarity with SEO/GEO concepts. • Experience serving foreign firms or clients (Canada, US, UK, Australia).
