PLATFORM ENGINEER (M/F/D)

<p><strong>About your tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Build, configure, and maintain platform infrastructure in Microsoft Azure using established Infrastructure as Code practices and tools such as Terraform.</li><li>Support the operation and continuous improvement of the Azure Databricks platform, including configuration, automation, monitoring, access management, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Operate and improve our Azure Kubernetes-based platform for the Data &amp; AI department, supporting the deployment, management, and scaling of services using established GitOps and CI/CD practices.</li><li>Implement platform changes and new capabilities following existing architecture patterns, security requirements, and engineering standards.</li><li>Contribute to reusable automation and self-service platform capabilities that make it easier for engineering, Data, and AI teams to deploy and operate their workloads.</li><li>Monitor platform health, investigate operational issues, and independently resolve standard support cases, escalating complex problems when appropriate.</li><li>Collaborate with Platform, Data, AI, MLOps, and Security colleagues and contribute to technical discussions, documentation, and platform improvements.</li><li>Participate in architecture and design discussions, bringing technical input and implementing agreed solutions with support from more experienced engineers when needed.</li><li>Continuously develop your knowledge of cloud-native and Data &amp; AI platform technologies and explore relevant technologies that can improve our platform.</li></ul> <p><strong>About you</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure and a good understanding of core cloud concepts such as compute, networking, storage, identity, and security.</li><li>Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes, and an understanding of how containerized workloads are deployed and operated.</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform; familiarity with tools such as Helm is an advantage.</li><li>Experience creating or maintaining standard deployment pipelines and working with Git-based development and delivery workflows.</li><li>Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting production or platform environments, with the ability to resolve common operational issues independently.</li><li>Experience with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, or Shell for infrastructure automation and platform tooling.</li><li>Familiarity with Azure Databricks or similar Data &amp; AI platforms, or a strong motivation to develop hands-on expertise in this area.</li><li>Basic understanding of Data, Machine Learning, or AI workloads and how infrastructure and platform capabilities support them.</li><li>Able to take ownership of your work, organize your tasks independently, communicate progress and challenges, and proactively ask for input when dealing with unfamiliar or complex topics.</li><li>Comfortable collaborating with engineers and stakeholders at working level and able to explain technical topics clearly.</li><li>Curious and motivated to continuously improve your technical skills and contribute to team documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering practices.</li><li>Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.</li></ul> <p><strong>About your benefits:&#xa0;</strong></p><p>In order to provide you with the best possible support for your individual needs - whether it‘s living a healthy life, having enough time for your family, or developing your skills - we offer a wide range of different, site-specific benefits:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Welcome days: We want you to feel at home with us from the very first day.
