Job description

Accountabilities: • Assess and validate end-to-end integration architecture across Salesforce, S-Docs, AWS, and the notification-delivery platform, with particular attention to scalability, throughput, latency, fault tolerance, security, auditability, and observability. • Evaluate document-generation workflows, data dependencies, automation triggers, governance controls, API capabilities, queueing strategies, and peak-load requirements. • Analyze AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, dead-letter queues, monitoring, and related services to ensure reliable transformation, routing, and delivery of high-volume communications. • Document architectural findings, risks, decisions, data flows, sequence diagrams, and technical considerations for technical teams, business stakeholders, support groups, and governance reviews. • Build and refine data models, integration components, orchestration, error-handling logic, and workflows connecting Salesforce, AWS, and the notification platform. • Develop Salesforce and S-Docs capabilities for template automation, email request generation, outbound callouts, inbound delivery-status processing, dashboards, and reporting. • Implement and configure AWS components including API Gateway endpoints, Lambda functions, SQS queues, DLQs, S3, IAM, CloudWatch logging and monitoring, and supporting delivery services. • Execute unit, integration, end-to-end, and high-volume performance testing to validate reliability and production readiness. • Deploy solutions through CI/CD pipelines across development, QA, UAT, and production environments while establishing appropriate monitoring, alerting, and operational controls. • Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support procedures, and provide knowledge transfer and training to administrators and support teams. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • Experience in data engineering, systems integration, ETL development, and/or cloud infrastructure. • Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS and DLQ patterns, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch. • Experience with Salesforce integration patterns, including inbound and outbound callouts, Apex, Flow automation, and document-generation platforms such as S-Docs, Conga, or Nintex Drawloop. • Working knowledge of notification and delivery-status APIs, with the ability to quickly learn specialized government notification platforms. • Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting or programming language used for integration and data processing, such as Python or Apex. • Demonstrated experience across the full testing lifecycle, including unit, integration, end-to-end, load, and performance testing, as well as CI/CD deployment across multiple environments. • Experience working in federal government IT environments, with familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. • Strong architectural documentation and communication skills, including the ability to create data-flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision logs, and technical recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and meet U.S. Citizenship requirements associated with the federal contract. • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Administrator, or Integration Architect and/or an AWS Certified Solutions Architect credential are advantageous. • Experience with S-Docs or comparable document-generation tools, government notification APIs, VA-specific technology environments, or federal healthcare systems is highly desirable. • Familiarity with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Splunk, or other infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability tools is a plus. • Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, governance reviews, or federal IT organizations is an additional advantage. • Strong problem-solving, organization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a complex technical environment. Benefits: • Salary: $60,000–$130,000 USD, depending on qualifications and experience. • Work arrangement: Fully remote within the United States. • Employment: Full-time position. • Mission-driven work: Opportunity to contribute to secure technology solutions supporting federal services and large-scale communications. • Technical exposure: Hands-on work across AWS, Salesforce, ETL, cloud integration, automation, CI/CD, observability, and high-volume distributed systems. • Professional development: Opportunity to deepen expertise in federal cloud environments, secure integrations, and modern data engineering practices. • Equal opportunity: Employment consideration is provided without discrimination based on protected characteristics.
